Redefined Women's Empowerment (RWE), Inc., is a 501 (C)3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 2018 in Barnwell, SC by women who shared a common passion for helping other women to reach their full potential economically, socially, educationally, and culturally.  The women of RWE Inc. look forward to forging strong partnerships with the local business community, state and local agencies, school districts, and other organizations serving rural communities throughout the state of South Carolina.

 

OBJECTIVES

1) To help women develop life skills to cope with economic, social, educational, and cultural stressors, such as low self-esteem, poverty, lack of education, and the lack of technical training. 

2) To provide professional development opportunities for women 17 years and older in rural communities.

3) To empower women in rural areas to design and pursue their own career paths especially in entrepreneurship.

4) To connect women with career resources and opportunities that otherwise might be inaccessible to those living in rural, economically depressed communities.
